Give your time.
Change a life.
On My Feet is built almost entirely by volunteers. Our 57+ volunteers are the reason the program works — they bring expertise, warmth and consistency to every session, every week.

Hear from our volunteers — why they give their time and what it means to them
On My Feet has volunteer roles for people at every stage of life and with every kind of skill. Some roles involve turning up to sessions. Others are remote and flexible. All of them matter.
Lead or support running sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Wellington Square. No coaching qualification required — just enthusiasm and reliability.
Lead morning walking groups at Beacon or St Bartholomew's House. A gentle, sociable session that means everything to the participants who attend.
Share your expertise in one or more of our weekly educational workshops — goal setting, financial literacy, nutrition, job readiness, mental health, resilience, cooking and more.
Be paired with a program participant as a personal mentor. Meet fortnightly, help connect them with employment opportunities, and be a consistent presence in their journey.
Provide physical health assessments, injury management support and health education to participants. AHPRA-registered professionals especially welcome.
Provide pastoral and emotional support to participants and volunteers. A calm, consistent presence who participants can speak with outside of formal sessions.
Help coordinate and staff fundraising events — sausage sizzles, marathon aid stations, community runs and more. Event days are social, high-energy and deeply satisfying.
Help maintain administrative tasks that keep the organisation running.
Capture sessions, events and graduations for social media, newsletters and grant applications. Your photography helps tell the On My Feet story to the people who need to hear it.
Tell us a little about yourself and the role you are interested in and we will be in touch within two business days.
Volunteering with On My Feet requires no prior experience working with people experiencing homelessness. We provide a full induction, Mental Health First Aid training opportunities, and ongoing support from our team.
All volunteers working directly with participants complete a Working with Vulnerable People check before their first session.
